We Are Members Of God’s Family Because We Do His Will

We can know that we are God’s family members; Jesus said so! (Mat. 12:50) “for whosoever shall do the will of My Father in Heaven, the same is My brother, My sister, and My mother.” Jesus is telling us that if we are members of God’s family, we have the most important responsibility: doing the Father’s will.

HOW CAN WE KNOW THE FATHER’S WILL?

Jesus taught that even a little child could understand and know God’s will, if we teach them, as instructed in the Holy Bible, King Solomon, the wisest man in ancient history, wrote (Ecclesiastes 12: 13): “Let us hear the conclusion of the matter, Fear God and keep His commandments for this is the whole duty of man.” Jesus taught the very same truth (Rev. 14:12); “Here is the patience of the saints, here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.”

THE FATHER HAS AN APPOINTMENT CALENDAR FOR HIS FAMILY

An important part of the Father’s will is found in (Lev. 23:1–41). He gives the yearly calendar for His Holy/ Feast days for His family. When we tally all these days, we realize that the Father wants to spend a lot of time with His children! 52 weekly Sabbaths each year plus another 18 days for annual Sabbaths and Festivals. This is a total of 70 entire days for feasting, studying, learning, singing, and fellowship with other brethren in God’s family, which is also fellowship with the Father and Christ ( 1st John 1:3).

One of the most important lessons Jesus has taught us is… “seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and all else (what we need) will be added unto you” Jesus knew that we all lack faith. He knew that for us to obey God’s will and keep His appointments, we would have to trust Him to make up the cost, and He did promise to bless us if we obeyed. Every Sabbath, every Feast that we keep, God can see what our priorities are. God’s calendar of appointments for His people leads us in the Way of the Father’s will. If we backslide and forget, cease to do the Father’s will, we end up devoting little if any time to God. We would join the mainstream of a couple of hours of worship once a week whenever it is convenient to us.

THE MOST IMPORTANT APPOINTMENT WE WILL EVER KEEP

(Luke 14:16 —– 24.) Please read this important parable of Jesus; The Master (God) invited His children (us) to a great supper, many made excuses and said: I’ve bought land, I’ve bought cattle, I’ve just married. THE MASTER GOT ANGRY and told His servant to go into the street and bring in the poor, the halt, the blind, to replace the children who made excuses. The Master sent his servant out again, telling him to bring in more, saying. MY HOUSE WILL BE FILLED! Let us understand; there will come a time when God will not accept our excuses! He will say, “none of these will taste My supper.” WHAT SUPPER IS THIS? (Rev. 19:9), it is the wedding supper of the Lamb. Can we think that we can ignore God’s appointments (Feasts) every year and still be invited to attend Christ’s” Great Wedding Supper? I don’t think so. Until then, it is not too late. Let’s be there each and every time. IT ‘S THE FATHER WILL
