But It’s So Wonderful!!

Should a dedicated sincere Christian attempt to blend the lies of Christmas into The truth of God’s word?Does God have to accept a mongrelized worship even though sincere?  Your worship is worthless says Jesus.  But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men” (Mat, 15:9).  Also in Mark 7:9 “And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition”.  Christmas is a tradition of men and is based on lies!

BUT IT’S SO WONDERFUL !

One of the easiest things to prove with today’s wealth of information is the pagan roots of Christmas and all its paraphernalia.  December 25 or winter solstice was a tradition of men that goes back centuries before Christianity but it didn’t assume the name of ‘Christ-mass’ until about the fourth century. Before then it was celebrated as the birth of the sun god solis Invicti (birthday of the invincible sun) by the devotees of Mithra; a predominate religion of the Roman army.  Constantine was a devotee of Mithra and remained so even after adopting the name of Christianity for many of the activities of the Mithra cult.  But why should that matter? Aren’t many of today’s customs derived from secular or pagan roots?  Things such as wedding rings, the names of days of the week and even the names of the months all come from secular or pagan sources as well as many other things and yet they are commonly accepted.

The difference is that the name of Christ is painted over cultic practices of worship with little or no   changes of the activities, yet God’s revealed and commanded holy times has largely been abandoned.     The attempt is made to use the truth of Jesus Christ the Son of God to cover the lie that is Christmas.  The god of this world, through his ministers and blind followers, has managed to subtly and cleverly substitute much of the paraphernalia and revelry associated with ancient pagan orgies that are dedicated to the sun god, into the Christian church.

BUT IT’S SO WONDERFUL!

But understand, that didn’t happen all at once, it took several hundred years. Satan uses time to his advantage.  We now have a Christian church in name only that little resembles the Christianity of the first century.  It is as we are told; Satan has deceived the whole world(Rev. 12:9).

Do you really think you can worship a God of truth with religious lies?  Think seriously about what Jesus tells us: “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23-24).

We lie to our children about Santa Claus coming down the chimney with a big bag of toys for good little children. We tell of his reindeer that fly through the air on Christmas Eve all the way from the North Pole.  We ask them to believe the story of the baby Jesus being born on Christmas Eve, which is blatantly untrue when compared to Biblical accounts of the birth of Jesus.  Would not these lies, when found out, introduce a bit of doubt latter on when our children are asked to believe in God?

BUT IT’S SO WONDERFULL!

We are given a bit of wisdom and a warning from Jeremiah: “Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move not. 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. (It was believed to have definite powers and was worshiped, but compare it to the one whom we are invited to worship.) 6 Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might. 7 Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? For to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.” (Jer. 10:2-7)

Some may say Jeremiah 10:2-6 does not refer to the Christmas tree and they may be right as we have no way of knowing for sure, but I would be hard pressed to give a better description of a Christmas tree.  Jeremiah is undeniably describing a manmade idol that is to be venerated and is warning against those types of activities. Tree worship is not that unusual in history and can be found in many civilizations.  The fir tree (supposing to be the rebirth of Nimrod) gilded with nuts and balls symbolizing the sun, holly and mistletoe, the poinsettia all have attached themselves to this conglomerate, polyglot ceremony.

Who then better to worship than our God the Lord Jesus Christ?  Joshua summed it up well.  “Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.  15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Josh 24:14-15).

BUT IT’S SO WONDERFUL!

Then there is jolly ‘ol St Nick’ whose history can also be traced back to Nimrod, “the mighty one against Lord”.  The word “Nicholas” means mighty one, powerful or Lord over.  Even the second Vatican council formally stated that the legends attributed to this “saint” had no Christian origin and probably came from pagan traditions.  Wodan/Odin the chief god of Norse mythology, the original “Santa Claus” was a fierce fighter/hunter and was another name for Nimrod; who, after the deluge, was the first human to be deified and proclaimed by the pagans to be a god.

“Santa Claus” then has been changed from a sordid and violent past into a so called innocent cherubic figure; isn’t it amazing what Satan can do with the use of time. Oddly enough with a simple rearrangement of the letters “Santa” we have “S-A-T-A-N” and “Claus” is suggestive of “Claws”, thus we have Satan’s Claws. Do we really want our children placed in the lap of Satan’s Claws, the arch enemy of mankind, or participating in Christmas parties with Santa passing out baubles, knickknacks and trinkets?

December 25th was observed far and wide among the ancient world. The day was said to be the birthday of the unconquered sun, “Mithras” the sun god.  Other names of the same god include Osiris, Horus, Tammuz, Hercules, Bacchus, Adonis, Jupiter, Isis — all pagan Messiahs!  All these pagan sun gods and deities trace their roots back to the original sun-god of ancient Babylon – Nimrod.  They had and have nothing to contribute to Christianity. They are the very antithesis of true Christianity!

The Christmas season includes the winter solstice anciently celebrated before and after December 25th.  Typically a time of great revelry known as the “Saturnalia,” in honor of the god Saturn, who also can be traced back to Nimrod; thus again proving “there is nothing new under the sun.”  The feasts of Saturn similar to the festival of Bacchus of Babylon are given over to drunkenness, festivity, and moral degeneration comparable to many Christmas parties and office parties of today.  Only the names have been changed to protect the guilty!

BUT IT’S SO WONDERFUL!

This pagan “bash” was transformed by the Catholic Church into the festivities of Christmas, in honor of the Madonna and child.  Thus Semiramis (Isis) and Tammuz (Horus) were transformed by the illusionists of the Catholic Church, into Mary and the baby Jesus. The pagan practices of the past centuries now masquerade in the purity of the Christian Church, but their activities belie their mask, they are still the same pagan rituals.  “Come out of her my people…” (Rev. 18:4).

William Prynne a puritan of the 1600s who rejected this “Baptism” of pagan Customs wrote: “Our Christmas lords of misrule, together with dancing, masques, mummeries, stage-players, and such other Christmas disorders, now in use with Christians, were derived from these Roman Saturnalia and Bacchanalian festivals; which should cause all pious Christians eternally to abominate them.”  Because of his attitude toward Christmas and pagan rituals still observed by the professing Christian Church, William Prynne was placed in a pillory and his ears were cut off. (The book of Christmas Folklore p 8

Listen to what the lord said to Israel: “Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: 25 And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants. 26 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you: 27 (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)  28 That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you. 29 For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people. 30 Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God” (Lev. 18:24-30).  Since we worship the same Lord, who changes not and who’s laws last for ever and ever,  shouldn’t we consider that a warning to us as well?

Take note!

1 Corinthians 10:11“Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.” And in verse 14, “Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry. 15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say”.

Yet some will still say, “But it’s so wonderful!”

Many years ago I came to understand that these false ideas are required for participating in the annual Christmas activity. That started my investigation into all Christian observances. Finally, I came to realize that almost all of the world’s Christians willingly accept the lying false form of worship today.
It is really impossible to worship God with false traditions. At some future time there will have to be a big correction to all of this. Otherwise all those who follow the teachers of these lies will lose their opportunity for salvation. That opportunity is available only to those who worship God in Truth! That is my understanding from reading scripture.
